How to Measure

For the most accurate fit, use a soft measuring tape and measure directly over light clothing or underwear.

1. Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Keep the measuring tape straight across your back and comfortably snug without pulling it too tightly.

For bikini tops, the bust measurement is especially important.

2. Underbust

Measure directly underneath your bust, around your rib cage.

Keep the tape level and comfortably fitted.

Your underbust measurement can help determine how securely a bikini top will fit around your body.

3. Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually slightly above your belly button.

Do not pull the measuring tape too tightly.

4. Hips

Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

For bikini bottoms, hip measurement is usually one of the most important measurements when selecting your size.

Bikini Top Fit Guide

A well-fitting bikini top should feel secure without being uncomfortable.

Your bikini top fits correctly when:

  • The band sits firmly around your body without digging into your skin.
  • The cups comfortably contain your bust.
  • Your breasts do not spill over the top or sides.
  • Shoulder or halter straps stay comfortably in place.
  • The bikini top does not move significantly when you raise your arms.

Consider sizing up if:

  • Your bust spills out from the top or sides.
  • The band feels excessively tight.
  • The straps dig into your shoulders.
  • The cups feel too small.

Consider sizing down if:

  • The cups have noticeable empty space.
  • The band feels loose.
  • The top moves or shifts when you move.
  • You cannot achieve a secure fit even after adjusting the straps.

Bikini Bottom Fit Guide

Your bikini bottoms should fit comfortably around your waist and hips without excessive pressure.

Your bikini bottoms fit correctly when:

  • The waistband sits comfortably against your body.
  • The fabric does not excessively dig into your hips.
  • The bottoms stay securely in place while moving.
  • There is no significant loose or sagging fabric.

Consider sizing up if:

  • The waistband digs deeply into your skin.
  • The bottoms feel very tight around your hips.
  • The fabric pulls excessively.
  • You feel restricted when sitting or moving.

Consider sizing down if:

  • The waistband feels loose.
  • The bikini bottom moves when walking or swimming.
  • There is excessive loose fabric around the front or back.

Bikini Cup Guide

For bikini tops with defined cups, your usual bra cup size can help you choose the most comfortable fit.

Cup Size General Fit Recommendation
A Cup Choose your regular size
B Cup Choose your regular size
C Cup Regular size usually works; check bust measurement
D Cup Consider styles with adjustable straps or additional support
DD+ Cup Look for supportive styles, wider straps, underwire, or adjustable designs

Please remember that bikini sizing does not always correspond exactly to traditional bra sizing.

If You Are Between Sizes

If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the style and level of stretch.

Choose the smaller size if:

  • You prefer a tighter, more fitted look.
  • The fabric is highly stretchy.
  • The bikini has adjustable straps or ties.

Choose the larger size if:

  • You prefer more coverage.
  • You have a fuller bust or hips.
  • The fabric has limited stretch.
  • You prefer a more comfortable, relaxed fit.

For most customers who are between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size for comfort, especially for bikini bottoms or less stretchy styles.

Triangle Bikini Tops

Triangle bikini tops are often highly adjustable.

If the bikini has adjustable neck and back ties, you may have more flexibility when selecting your size.

For customers with a fuller bust, we recommend paying particular attention to the bust measurement and cup coverage rather than choosing only by waist size.

Bandeau & Strapless Bikini Tops

Bandeau and strapless bikini tops should fit securely around the bust.

Because these styles have less support from shoulder straps, choosing the correct bust and underbust size is especially important.

If you are between sizes and have a fuller bust, consider sizing up.

Underwire Bikini Tops

For underwire bikini tops, the underwire should sit comfortably underneath the bust without pressing into breast tissue.

The center of the top should sit close to your body, and the cups should fully contain your bust.

If your bust spills out of the cup, choose a larger size or a style designed for fuller busts.

High-Waisted Bikini Bottoms

For high-waisted bikini bottoms, check both your waist and hip measurements.

If your waist corresponds to one size but your hips correspond to a larger size, we generally recommend choosing the size that best fits your hips.

Brazilian & Cheeky Bikini Bottoms

Brazilian and cheeky bikini styles are intentionally designed with less back coverage.

Less coverage does not necessarily mean the item is too small.

However, the waistband should still sit comfortably without excessive digging.

One-Piece Swimwear

For one-piece swimsuits, compare your:

Bust + Waist + Hips

If your measurements fall across different sizes, select the size that corresponds to the largest measurement.

Customers with a longer torso may also prefer sizing up for additional comfort.

Adjustable Swimwear

Many Moninia swimwear styles may feature:

  • Adjustable shoulder straps
  • Tie-back closures
  • Halter neck ties
  • Adjustable side ties
  • Removable padding
  • Stretch fabrics

These features can provide additional flexibility when choosing your size.

Swimwear Care Tips

To help maintain the shape, color, and elasticity of your swimwear:

  • Hand wash in cold water.
  • Use a gentle detergent.
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
  • Dry naturally in the shade.
  • Rinse after swimming in chlorine or salt water.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with rough surfaces.

For best results, wash your swimwear after each use.
